    Description: Intermediate level for Applied Composition lessons following the successful completion of the Junior Level Hearing.     Description: Rehearse and perform musical presentations for APSU home basketball games, post-season tournaments, and other campus events. Open to all students. Audition and demonstration of basic skills is required (email instructor prior to Nov. 1). Participation in a pre-determined number of performances is required, all of which are on evenings and weekends.

    Description: Prepares the student to perform holistic nursing assessment and physical examination. Inter-professional communication and collaboration is emphasized. The student is expected to assess and respect sociological, cultural, spiritual, financial, and technical variances as they relate to individual clients. The student is expected to conduct assessments of patients with professionalism and professional values. The course and the lab are taken in the same semester.

  • NURS 4000 - Preceptor Experience

    Prerequisite: Completion of all 2000 and 3000 nursing courses and approval of School of Nursing
    Description: An elective course that offers refinement of clinical skills, organizational principles, and care under the supervision of Registered Nurse preceptors at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Austin Peay School of Nursing faculty. This course is offered only in the summer semester for current nursing students who have completed all 2000 and 3000 level nursing courses. Space is limited and enrollment must be approved by the School of Nursing. 280 Clinical Hours.
