THEA 4350 - Acting Workshop Credit Hours 3 Prerequisite: THEA 1300 or permission of instructor; Description: This course is designed for the advanced acting student to explore alternative approaches to creating a role through scene study and in-depth performance techniques. the course may include; but is not limited to, research into contemporary trends of performance, studying a particular playwright’s canon or acting theorists’ work. The course examines women’s sexuality, spirituality, interpersonal violence, media representations, and LGBTQ issues in national and international contexts. WGS 3080 - Women’s and Gender Studies Practicum Credit Hours Prerequisite: WGS 2050 or 2060 and six (6) hours of WGS courses; and junior standing. Description: A supervised professional and/or social justice work experience that synthesizes the student’s program of study. The student is responsible for negotiating with the director of women’s and gender studies for placement. The student, faculty supervisor and professional or community supervisor will develop a contract of academic and placement responsibilities. |
