EDUC 8013 - Dissertation I Credit Hours 6 Prerequisite: EDUC 8050 ; Description: This portion of the program is the practical application of all the previous course-work. The course is designed to allow students to develop a model proposal for the research project leading to a dissertation. Special attention is given to the guidance of students as they understand and apply the elements of dissertation writing including the components of a good proposal, analysis of research proposals, and student research projects. Doctoral candidates are expected to complete an acceptable draft format of Chapters I, II, and III as a culmination of this course to be followed by their dissertation proposal defense.
