STAT 4120 - Regression Analysis

Credit Hours 3
Prerequisite: Inferential and descriptive statistics at the level of STAT 3250  and prior exposure to statistical software. Basic matrix algebra and calculus concepts of limits, derivatives, and integrals are used throughout.
Description: Simple and multiple least squares regression. Curvilinear and piece-wise models. Inferences for parameters. Diagnostic, remedial, and goodness of fit measures. Model building techniques including best subsets, stepwise
regression, cross-validation, ridge, lasso, and PCR. Categorical predictors and ANCOVA. Basic logistic regression. Appropriate statistical software used throughout.
