GEOG 5040 - Sustainable Development Credit Hours 3 Prerequisite: GEOG 1015 and MATH 1710 or higher, or consent of instructor Description: Utilizing systemic human, economic and environmental interactions, sustainable development carries out the examination of a rapidly growing Earth population footprint through continued natural resource use, pollution production, and population adaptation. Minerals and energy resources, soil, water, air, forests, and wildlife habitats will be considered. Reducing consumption and development of alternative resources are course focuses.
