Environmental Studies Minor

The Environmental Studies minor is an interdisciplinary minor examining the interactive relationship between humans and the biophysical environment that produces challenges including water management, soil conservation, climate change, health concerns, environmental inequalities, and issues of development and sustainability. The Environmental Studies minor provides students with the conceptual tools and theoretical frameworks to address these challenges at both the global and local levels.

1. Other courses as approved by the coordinator.

2. Only three (3) credit hours counted for the student’s major requirements can count for the minor requirements. In other words, a student can only “double-dip” three (3) credit hours to count for both the major and the minor. However, a student can still take other courses from their major to count toward the minor.

Note:

Sociology courses cannot be counted in both the Sociology Major and the Environmental Studies Minor.
