Description of Major

Engineering Technology is a multi-discipline major with industry specific concentrations in Automotive Systems Design (AAS and BS; ETAC of ABET Accredited), Construction (AAS and BS; ETAC of ABET Accredited) with a Civil specialization (BS only), Electronics (AAS; ETAC of ABET accredited), Electrical (BS; ETAC of ABET Accredited), Manufacturing (BS; ETAC of ABET accredited), Mechanical (BS; Preparing for ETAC of ABET accreditation), and Mechatronics (AAS and BS; Preparing for ETAC of ABET accreditation).  Each concentration has been designed to meet the needs of local, regional, and national industry relative to the specific concentration.

Automotive Engineering Technology


The AAS degree in Engineering Technology with a concentration in Automotive prepares students to, depending on the selected option, work as specialist in the Automotive Manufacturing industry or as Automobile Service Specialist.
