NURS 5701 - Advanced Family Practice I

Prerequisite: NURS 5100 , 5108 , 5005 , 5006 , 5007 , 5008  
Description: This course integrates prior theoretical and practical knowledge for the diagnosis, management, and evaluation of health care for patients across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on a holistic approach to provide health promotion, disease prevention, and the management of acute and common illnesses impacting patients in the primary care setting. The course will highlight pediatric content. The course utilizes inter-professional domains to guide evidencebased, safe/effective care and includes cultural considerations. Current treatment guidelines for management of health and illness are integrated.
