NURS 5702 - Advanced Family Practice II

Description: This course continues the integration of theoretical and practical knowledge for the diagnosis, management, and evaluation of chronic and complex health care issues for patients across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on a holistic approach to provide health promotion, disease prevention, and the management of acute and common illnesses impacting patients in the primary care setting.  The course will highlight women’s health and frail elder content. The course utilizes inter-professional domains to guide evidence-based, safe/effective care and includes cultural considerations. Current treatment guidelines for management of health and illness are integrated.
