MPH 5300 - Public Health Communication

Prerequisite: MPH 5010 (with a grade of “C” or better); Public Health Major or Permission of Department Chair
Description: This course provides students with the competencies to use various communication strategies including mass media,
persuasive communication, citizen engagement, motivational interviewing, and risk communication. With a foundation
in health literacy, students will practice various communication strategies in the context of current and emerging health
issues.
