MPH 5500 - Epidemiology and Vital Statistics

Credit Hours 3
Prerequisite: MPH 5000  (with a grade of “C” or better); Public Health Major or Permission of Department Chair
Description: This course covers basic concepts and methods of epidemiology for public health and health education professionals.
Sources of population data in terms of demographics, health statistics and vital statistics will be explored. An overview
of study designs used in epidemiology will be presented along with ethical issues relevant to epidemiological research.
