EDUC 7017 - Multiple Perspectives on Learning and Teaching

Description: This course will survey classical and current perspectives on learning and teaching including constructivist, sociocultural, social cognitive, situative, sociotransformative constructivist, and adult learning theories. Students will examine the research literature to identify the strengths and limitations of these perspectives in relation to understanding issues within their organizations and problems of practice. Students will also gain an understanding of current learning sciences and its practical application to a variety of fields and contexts.
