NURS 5712 - Advanced Psychiatric Care II

Corequisite: NURS 5811
Description: The course integrates prior theoretical and practical knowledge of the diagnosis, management, and evaluation of mental health for individuals and families across the lifespan. An emphasis is placed on special populations (children, adolescents, and geriatrics). A variety of treatment modalities, both pharmacologic and psychotherapeutic, are included in the course.  The course utilizes interprofessional domains to guide evidence-based, safe/effective care and includes technological and cultural considerations.
