ECON 5220 - Advanced Managerial Economics Credit Hours 3 Prerequisite: MBA Majors only. Description: This course will build on a traditional basis of microeconomic theory through the case method and research projects. Case application will bring microeconomic analysis into the realm of managerial decision making. Focus will be placed on the applications of economic theory for making rational management analysis and decisions as well as the guiding principles undergirding demand, supply, cost theories, and their relevance to business strategic pricing and output decisions. Additional topics may include consumer theory, theory of the firm, the role of government in business, international and global business, and financial investment.
