The field of industrial-organizational psychology is centered on understanding work from a psychological perspective. Through the program, students are trained in I-O psychology theories, research methods, and best practices for applying this training in work settings such as industry and government. Students develop expertise in a variety of areas, such as personnel recruitment, selection, performance, leadership, training, development, motivation, job satisfaction, occupational health, and a global perspective of work and I-O. Students in the MSIO program can choose from two milestone tracks to complete their degree: Track 1: Comprehensive Exam or Track 2: Thesis.
