Women’s and Gender Studies Minor

The Women’s and Gender Studies Program offers interdisciplinary training for examining the complex questions and practices related to women and gender.  Students have opportunities to engage in research, creative work and internships as well as campus and community activities. The Women’s and Gender Studies minor offers a wide range of courses that focus on gender, race, class, sexual orientation, sexual identity and disabilities. Students are empowered with the knowledge, skills and resources about issues in the area of social justice locally, nationally, and internationally. Students are strongly advised to select courses from a variety of disciplines to ensure a broad spectrum of learning and to seek advisement from the Women’s and Gender Studies Coordinator.  Other courses may be approved by the coordinator.
