Science Education Research and Practice Concentration

The Science Education Research and Practice concentration is designed as a non-licensure program for practicing teachers and others interested in science literacy, providing the knowledge and skills required for effective classroom science teaching, science curriculum leadership, and/or research. Students will complete a 9-credit-hour foundational core in education courses, a 15-credit-hour sequence in science education methods, one 3-credit-hour integrated education course, and a capstone project consisting of a 6-credit-hour thesis. This concentration will be offered for cohorts as a two-year plan.
