BIOL 2300/2301 - Principles of Microbiology (and lab)4 Credit Hours Prerequisite: Eight hours of Biology with a grade of “C” or higher Corequisite: BIOL 2301 Description: An introductory study of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoan with particular emphasis on their relationship to infection and disease. Asepsis, immunity, sterilization, and special problems related to patients and hospitals. Completion of BIOL 2300 does not substitute for BIOL 3050 for a Biology major or minor.
