HIST 4830 - Prisoners of War in American History3 Credit Hours Description: This course examines prisoner of war handling and treatment in American history from the colonial period to the present. The changing roles of international law, humanitarian treatment, and reciprocity will be studied. The course will incorporate U.S. social, diplomatic, and military history to understand the changing norm in prisoner treatment.
