SPAN 5320 - Sociolinguistics and Dialectology of Spanish

Description: This course explores the factors that have contributed to the development of dialects in the Spanish speaking world. Focus will be placed on social factors such as age, social class, gender and how these factors affect language variation and change. Methods used for describing variation will also be discussed.
