MUS 5040 - Graduate Music Theory Review

Credit Hours 3
Description: The purpose of this class is to address insufficiencies in music theory that were revealed in the Graduate Entrance Exam. The class will cover the basics of music theory from diatonic through simple chromatic harmonic vocabulary, applications of this vocabulary to classical sonata-allegro form, and ear training. This class is remedial and cannot be used to fulfill graduate level theory requirements.
