CPSY 8720 - Play Therapy Credit Hours 3
Prerequisite: Admission and enrollment in the Counseling Psychology PsyD program
Description: An experiential course designed to provide a foundational knowledge of Child-Centered Play Therapy. Students will learn how to set up a play therapy space, develop strategies to work through challenges in the therapeutic process, and learn strategies to invite parents into the process. Research on the efficacy of Child-Centred Play Therapy will be reviewed.
