NURS 5615 - The Nurse Educator Credit Hours 3 Prerequisite: NURS 5100 Pre/Corequisite: None Description: This course introduces the student to traditional and contemporary considerations for curriculum planning and design as applied to nursing education. An emphasis is placed on curriculum and course designs. These concepts will be applied to a variety of settings and/or levels of education. The course provides an introduction to analysis of testing, benchmarking, and evaluation methods in the clinical practice of nursing across classroom, seminar, and electronic formats; includes evaluation methods to ensure competency in the clinical area. Program evaluation and program accreditation are explored.
