SW 5150 - School Social Work (effective Spring 2022)

Description: This course provides students with the basic principles and skills necessary for entry-level school social workers including assessment, consultation, planning, coordination, and individual, group, and family interventions. Special focus is placed on the ecological perspective of school social work practice with diverse students and families including students with disabilities, various ethnicities and racial backgrounds, and groups of oppressed people, among others.
