EDUC 7062 - Critical Literacy Practices in Schools and Communities (Effective Summer 2023)

Cross Listed: This course examines critical literacy practices in schools and in the community with a focus on
P-16 students and adult literacy programs in the community. This is an elective course for
students in the literacy track of the Ed.D. Educational Leadership Program. Students will
critique literacy programs and interventions for individuals reading below proficiency in grades
P-16 and literacy programs offered in the community for adults including those identified as
English language learners and/or with learning disabilities.
