PHYS 1010 - Concepts: Motion, Heat, and Sound

Credit Hours 3
Prerequisite: Deficiencies in reading, writing, and mathematics must be satisfied prior to taking this course.
Corequisite: PHYS 1011 ;
Description: Topics covered include motion, energy, properties of matter, heat, and sound. The course emphasizes the role of physics in the understanding of everyday experiences in our technological society.  The approach is conceptual with a minimum of mathematics.  Basic mathematical concepts such as number operation, percentage, proportionality, ratio, and graphing are applied throughout the course.
