PHYS 3000 - Introduction to Modern Physics

Credit Hours 3
Prerequisite: PHYS 2120 /2121  and MATH 1920   with grades of “C” or higher or permission of instructor;
Description: Course to study physics since 1900 including quantization of radiation, matter waves, early atomic models, Schroedinger’s wave mechanics, photoelectric effect, Compton effect, Planck’s constant, black body radiation, electron diffraction, atomic emission spectra, and other modern physics topics.
