ACCT 3710 - Accounting Information Systems and Data Analytics

Credit Hours 3
Prerequisite: BB1; ACCT 3010; all with a grade of “C” or higher
Description: This course examines the professional and legal responsibilities of accountants and auditors in the design, operation, and control of Accounting Information Systems (AIS), covering both financial and nonfinancial applications. Students will develop an analytics mindset through practical experience in data scrubbing, manipulation, and preparation; assessment of data completeness, reliability, and validity; and the use of data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools to support decision-making and ensure compliance.
