The Dean and the MSM Program Director/Advisor serve as the graduate committee for the MSM. Placement in the program and any course substitutions or transfer credits must be approved by the Dean of the College of Business or his designee.
The Master of Science in Management (MSM) degree is a nationally ranked, military-friendly program which will help you hit the ground running towards the next step in your career. Each course will challenge your strengths, develop management and leadership skills, and prepare you for opportunities you will face throughout your career. The MSM degree at is a 30-hour program, consisting of seven required courses, plus three electives. Classes are offered on-line with classes lasting eight weeks. Students attending full-time who begin in Fall or Spring terms can complete the program in one year.
Requirements and Documents for Admission

Regular Admission Status will be granted to applicants who have submitted a complete application file and meet admission requirements. Master of Science in Management students are required to submit GMAT scores. Students must also meet both of the following entrance requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in any field with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 from a regionally accredited institution.

An index score of 950 or greater based upon the following formula: GPA x 200 + GMAT.

Applicants who have earned a master’s degree or who have an overall undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better from a regionally accredited institution may request an exemption from the GMAT by submitting the Entrance Exam Waiver Form along with a copy of the applicable transcript. The Waiver form is available at www.apsu.edu/cogs or in the Graduate Admissions Office.
Students admitted to the program must complete the Program of Study by the end of the first semester regardless of the number of hours in which the student has enrolled.
Students must be formally accepted by the College before student can enroll in any graduate course.

Required Courses
Students will be required to complete a capstone class (MGT 5810) as the culminating experience in earning the degree. MGT 5810 is to be taken after all other required courses are completed. (18 or 21 semester hours) Electives: Select 9 or 12 hours
