The Medical Laboratory Science major is recommended for students interested in pursuing a career in the clinical laboratory or medical research. In addition, the Medical Laboratory Science major is excellent preparation for professional or graduate school including careers in research or industry. APSU has a four-year, campus-based program through affiliation with area hospitals. The courses which comprise the senior year include both campus-based didactic courses and practical courses at affiliate hospital clinical laboratories. Upon successful completion of the four-year program, a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science (BSMLS) is awarded. A certificate is awarded for completion of the professional program.
