The Risk Analysis graduate certificate is designed for students or working professionals with a bachelor’s degree who would like to gain skills in risk analysis. This program will prepare students to recognize, assess, analyze, and manage risks inherent in all institutions. The twelve-hour graduate certificate is offered fully online and on-campus. The coursework can be completed in six months and can also be transferred towards MS in Computer Science and Quantitative Methods, with a concentration in Mathematical Finance.

- Students will gain an understanding of the basic concepts and knowledge required in computational mathematics toward solving real world problems.
- Students will be able to write programs in the appropriate Computational Algebra System (CAS) to implement algorithms.
- Students will demonstrate knowledge of the range of financial and financial related risks facing organizations.
- Students will be able to understand the approach to risk management through risk identification, risk measurement and risk management (or mitigation).
- Students will be able to conduct a comprehensive assessment of risks, provide a realistic assessment of those risks and select the most appropriate mitigating actions for those risks.
- Students will be able to apply a variety of statistical methods for making inference and evaluate studies using hypothesis testing methods.
