The Undergraduate Certificate in French is intended for students who are not majoring or minoring in French, but who want to prepare for a life and career in international business, communication, or government service in French-speaking parts of the world.

Program Student Learning Outcomes

  • Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the cultures of the French-speaking world and will demonstrate oral and written proficiency in French at or above the Advanced High Level on the ACTFL (American Council of Teachers of French) rating scale.
