Mechanical Engineering Technology Concentration

The BS degree in Engineering Technology with a concentration in Mechanical is designed to prepare students to work in industry as specialist in Mechanical Design and Implementation. Mechanical Engineering Technologist are specifically trained to fully understand and apply the complex designs created by Mechanical Engineers. The degree program requires 120-1 credit hours and consists of the general education core, the major core (39 cr hrs), and the concentration (33 cr hrs). All concentrations require a capstone project experience at or near the end of the student’s time in the degree program. All concentrations in engineering technology are accredited by ETAC of ABET; the mechanical concentration follows the requirements for accredited programs in mechanical engineering technology.
