LPN-to-BSN Concentration

Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Majors, Concentrations & Minors

The LPN to BSN concentration is designed for licensed practical nurses seeking to advance their education and earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. This pathway builds on the knowledge and clinical experience of the LPN while maintaining the academic rigor and outcomes of the traditional prelicensure BSN program. The curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, leadership, and evidence-based practice to prepare graduates to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse healthcare settings. The concentration will utilize existing university and community partnerships to provide meaningful clinical experiences in hospitals, community agencies, and other healthcare environments. Graduates will be eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and will be well prepared for professional nursing roles and future leadership opportunities.
