ASTR 2011 - Introduction to Observational Astronomy Credit Hours: 1 Credit Hours Description: An introduction to the basic techniques of observational astronomy. Setting up, aligning, initializing and using equatorial and alt-az telescope mounts, learning the stars and constellations of the night sky, observing double stars, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. This is a three hour one credit laboratory course requiring night observing.
