Admission Requirements
Students majoring in business will receive the Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
The admission requirements for the freshman and sophomore level (1000–2999) courses are the same as the University admission requirements. Before enrolling in junior and senior (3000–4999) business courses, business majors must have earned junior standing (60 hours) with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.1 and have completed ENGL 1010 , ENGL 1020 , MATH 1810 (or MATH 1530 or MATH 1910 ), ACCT 2010/201L , ACCT 2020 , ECON 2010 , and ECON 2020 . Any exception to these requirements must be approved by the Chair of the department and the Dean of the College of Business. Students seeking exceptions must have the advisor’s approval before submitting the request to the Chair of the department. A transfer student must first have his/her transcript reviewed by the College of Business advisor. Accepted transfer credits from community or technical colleges and the associate degree programs at Fort Campbell are limited to the lower division courses.
Students enrolled in the B.B.A. program who plan to take courses at the APSU Center @ Fort Campbell or at another institution for transfer credit to APSU must secure prior written approval from the College of Business and the Registrar on the Course Approval Form. Forms for advising and registration are available on the website.
Business minors and non-business majors must meet the specific course prerequisites which include junior standing (60 hours) for all 3000–4999 level business courses and may earn no more than 30 hours of credit offered by the College of Business. Students taking more than 30 hours must meet the upper division admission requirements of the B.B.A. program.
Graduation Requirements
Graduation requirements are listed below:
- Minimum 39 upper division hours;
- Minimum grade of “C” in BBA program and concentration courses;
- Minimum 2.0 GPA in the following: cumulative GPA courses taken at APSU, courses in concentrations, and courses in minor; and
- The Major Field Test in Business is required in the senior year.
The Bachelor of Business Administration
The College of Business offers the Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with concentrations in accounting, economics, finance, general business, international management, management, and marketing. Minors are not required of business majors.
