High-achieving students are driven by a deep sense of curiosity about multiple areas of study. They want the opportunity to enrich their learning in an interdisciplinary context as well as to deepen their learning in their chosen field.  The Honors Program at APSU provides that opportunity.

The program is open to students in all majors. Students have the opportunity to graduate with Honors by taking a combination of lower division (1000-2000 level) and upper-division (3000-4000 level) courses that are designated as Honors courses.  The Honors Program at APSU is discipline specific. That means that your required upper-division coursework in Honors will be in your major. Honors students also have the option to enroll in special seminars outside of their major.  Honors students are encouraged to study a foreign language and to study abroad.  A limited number of scholarships is available through the Honors Program to assist students who wish to study abroad.  Honors students receive multiple benefits including priority registration and 24/7 access to the Honors Commons, a study and lounge area reserved for students in Honors and the President’s Emerging Leaders Program. Contact the Director of Honors for more information.
