AP OneStop

Students may apply, register, pay fees, obtain grades, order student transcripts, and obtain information on admissions, financial aid, veteran services, housing, and testing by accessing AP One Stop at

Felix G. Woodward Library

The Felix G. Woodward Library offers a print collection of more than 340,000 volumes, 669,000 microforms, and an electronic collection that includes 300 online databases, more than 67,000 full-text periodicals, 460,000 e-books, and 7,500 audiovisual items. Online resources may be accessed via 108 computers located in the library’s information commons and 25 laptops available for checkout and use within the library. Online resources are available 24/7 from off-campus for APSU faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students.

Book and Supply Store


The APSU Book and Supply Store provides the books and materials needed as part of the educational process for students. Items available include textbooks (new and used), supplies such as notebooks and folders, APSU gift items (sweatshirts, T-shirts, baseball caps, class rings and various APSU logo items), and graduation regalia. The Book and Supply Store is located in the Catherine Evans Harvill Building and can be reached at 931-221-7655.

Little GOVS Child Learning Center

The Little GOVS Child Learning Center (CLC), a department of the Division of Student Affairs, serves children ages 2 to 5 years. Childcare is available full-time as well as part-time. The Little GOVS CLC is licensed by the Department of Human Services, holds a 3 Star Rating and is a Gold Sneaker Facility. Children of APSU students, staff, and faculty, as well as alumni and members of the community who meet the age requirements are eligible to attend. The Little GOVS Child Learning Center is located in the Sexton Building on Eighth Street, with operating hours Monday-Friday, 7:15am-5:00pm. The trained and caring staff takes pride in the Reggio inspired facility and in the developmentally appropriate curriculum with the focus on play. Career Services

The Office of Career Services at Austin Peay State University is here to equip our students and graduates with the tools and skills necessary to be successful self-advocates in the career planning and employment processes. We strive to provide students with high-quality services and resources that help them learn about and develop the most desired skills in today’s workplace, including the eight (8) NACE Career Competencies. As a part of our mission, we strive to provide equitable access to career related services and to meet students where they are in their personal career development journey. Services offered include: Jobs4Govs online career management platform, career exploration and assessment, action planning, resume/CV and cover letter reviews, personal statement writing, employer and graduate school research, job search coaching, and mock interviewing.  In addition, we also offer the ability for students and alumni to connect with local, regional, and national employers through career fairs, networking events, and other programming opportunities. Community Engagement and Sustainability


Community Engagement & Sustainability exists to support and encourage the collaboration between APSU and the needs of the community through curricular and co-curricular programming. Our vision is to provide the space and opportunity for students to develop compassion & initiate change as active citizens in their communities. Our call to action incorporates: (1) educating students on community issues and facilitating action (2) connecting students to global environmental problems & encouraging resource conservation and (3) provide opportunities to support their peers facing hunger and homelessness insecurity.

In addition to our outward focused programs, we have a student initiated campus food pantry and garden program that supports APSU students experiencing difficult circumstances. Students can utilize and/or volunteer with our food pantry, free thrift store, victory gardens or chickens.  Students are recognized for their involvement with community service through awards and are encouraged to make community engagement a life-long commitment.

The Testing Center offers a variety of assessments which include Accuplacer, ACT-Residual, CLEP, DANTES and MAT; information about the National ACT is also available.  Proctored exams for other universities may be scheduled at the center.  Contact the Testing Center for more information or to schedule a testing session.

Student Counseling Services


Student Counseling Services is located in the Ard Building at 524 College Street.  Here licensed professional counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and psychologists provide free, evidence-based care to APSU students. Each of our professional staff members has unique areas of expertise and therapeutic styles, and we pride ourselves on helping students find just the right therapist to meet their needs.  In counseling you and a trained therapist work together to better understand yourself, to cope with specific issues, and/or to improve your overall well-being.  Personal and group counseling sessions may address a variety of issues, including adjustment to college, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, stress management, low self-esteem, alcohol and drug abuse, grief, and sexuality.

Student Counseling Services operates out of a brief therapy model, with students being eligible for up to 12 counseling sessions per year. All currently enrolled APSU students are eligible for our services, which are confidential and free of charge.  Students may call 931-221-6162 for an appointment. Boyd Health Services

Boyd Health Services is located in the Ard Building at 524 College Street. Board certified physicians and nurse practitioners provide evidence-based health care to APSU students, staff, and faculty. Students are assessed a health service fee each semester that covers office visits. There may be additional charges for physicals, medications, supplies, procedures or laboratory tests received in-house and these are billed directly to the students’ account. These charges can be paid through OneStop or at the Cashiers’ Window. Staff and faculty seeking services are required to pay a small access fee. This will be billed to their account and can be paid through OneStop or at the Cashiers’ Window.

Services available include visits for illness, minor injury, sexual health, family planning services, well-patient physical examinations, allergy injections, immunizations/tuberculosis testing, laboratory services, and health education. Some illnesses or conditions fall outside our scope of service, and occasionally we must refer patients out into the community for care. In these instances, the patient is responsible for any expenses incurred.

No medical services will be provided until a medical history is completed, signed, and filed. In addition to this initial record, Boyd Health Services reserves the right to require additional examinations and/or immunizations during any time the student is enrolled at the University.

Student Disability Resource Center

A person with a disability is someone with a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities.  A person is considered to be a person with a disability if he/she has the disability, has a record of the disability, or is regarded as having the disability.

Accommodations are academic adjustments or auxiliary aids that provide equal access to programs and services. A few examples are print and audio materials in alternate formats, extended time or taking an exam in a minimal distraction area, recording a lecture or having a note-taker and assistive technology to read and navigate a computer.

Tuition Reduction

A Tennessee resident who is permanently and totally disabled may register in courses for credit on a space available basis and pay a maximum tuition of $70 and all applicable fees or may audit a course if space is available at no cost (according to Tennessee law) by filing an Application for Tuition Reduction due to Disability and submit proof that you are considered 100% disabled through Social Security or other appropriate state or federal agency.  To request tuition reduction for disability, you must submit this documentation for each term of enrollment.  Requests must be submitted prior to the last day of registration.  For additional information, contact the Office of Disability Services at (931) 221-6230 Voice or (931) 221-6278 TTY, Morgan University Center, 114.

Govs ID Card

The Govs Card is the official identification card for every student, faculty, and staff member at APSU. It offers a convenient, easy, and safe way to make purchases and utilize campus services. The card can also be used as a library card, meal plan card, meal money (Gov Bucks), admittance to athletic events and other campus activities, access to residence halls and the student recreation center, and in vending machines. Newton Military Family Resource Center

The Austin Peay State University William E. & Sadako S. Newton Military Family Resource Center – the state’s largest military-affiliated student center – is open year-round. The 5,200 square-foot building at 426 College St., next to Johnny’s Big Burger, provides the University’s military-affiliated students – MAS (active-duty military, veterans, reservists, National Guard members, ROTC cadets, retirees, and military families) with a one-stop shop for most of their social, financial, and academic needs. The facility houses Austin Peay’s Military Advisor in Residence, a VetSuccess on Campus Counselor, a Veteran and Career Advising Coordinator, the Military-Affiliated Student Success Professional, and a Veterans Upward Bound Academic Coordinator.

The Newton Military Family Resource Center (NMFRC) offers programs throughout the academic year to address the unique challenges our Military-Affiliated Student (MAS) population faces.  NMFRC features:      

  • A computer lab with online access, a printer, and CAC readers
  • A dining area to eat, study, or talk with your peers
  • A lounge to unwind and relax
  • Events include educational, informational, and family-oriented programming throughout the year
  • Programs throughout the academic year that address the unique challenges facing our student population
  • Student-Peer Coaching – staff provides guidance and advice on how to navigate college and transition from military to college life and beyond
  • Texts for Vets – relies on student textbook donations to provide textbooks for fellow students, free of charge on a first come, first serve basis.

It is a one-stop shop, servicing APSU military-affiliated students (MAS). The NMFRC is open to all APSU students, no military affiliation required.  Please come in and visit us!  We are open every day that the University is open: Monday – Thursday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

Public Safety - Campus Police


The APSU Campus Police Department is open and staffed 24 hours a day, and is located in the Shasteen Building. Officers patrol the campus by automobile, bicycle, and on foot. The cadre of police officers attends a state police academy and are otherwise certified and trained to state standards.

The jurisdictional area extends to all facilities owned, operated, and leased by the University, as well as public roads and right-of-ways contiguous to that property. They are armed and empowered with the same arrest authority as city and county officers. Campus officers work closely with local and state police and emergency officials, and share a common radio network. Police officers are augmented on campus by security officers and by the Student Patrol, which assist in parking and traffic control and in security during special events, and provide a security escort service for students during evening hours. Other crime prevention programs run throughout the year, including crime prevention briefings and a program for recording and engraving serial numbers on valuable items of property. Public Safety is also responsible for coordinating homeland security efforts and APSU’s Emergency Preparedness Plan. For more information, contact Campus Police at 931-221-7786. Traffic and Parking Regulations

Students who desire to park and/or drive vehicles on the APSU campus are required to register with the APSU Parking and Transportation Office in the Shasteen Building. All vehicles must display a proper parking decal and must be operated in accordance with state laws and University Traffic and Parking Regulations, distributed by the APSU Parking and Transportation Office.

Morgan University Center

The Morgan University Center is the center of campus life at Austin Peay. The Center is the home to the University’s food service operations, featuring the cafeteria and food court. In addition, the following offices are located in the facility: Student Affairs, University Facilities, Student Life and Engagement, Disability Services, Career Services,  Student Publications (The All State student newspaper), Student Government Association, Hispanic Cultural Center, and the Adult and Nontraditional Student Center. Besides the offices listed, the Morgan University Center includes a coffee shop, post office and meeting rooms. In the Morgan University Center you will find regular events and programs scheduled throughout the day, as well as a location to relax and refresh from your academic studies.

University Housing

The University believes that life in campus housing provides students with an essential part of the educational experience. Living in a residence hall/apartment affords students opportunities for involvement in learning communities, campus activities, shared responsibilities and community experiences.

The University has accommodations for approximately 1,900 students. Single students are housed in residence halls, generally two to a room under the supervision of professional and student staff.

All resident students must provide their own bed linens, towels, telephones and other personal accessories. Students are responsible for the care and cleaning of their rooms. Laundry facilities are available in all residence halls/apartments. Internet and cable provided. All residences are smoke free.

Application for University Housing should be made online at Housing contracts are for the full academic year (fall and spring semesters including winter break) and renewed annually. Please refer to Housing Licensing Agreement for fee adjustment policies and deadlines.

Writing Center

The Writing Center provides assistance with writing skills to any student at APSU. They support assignments in APA, ASA, Chicago, and MLA style. Students may receive assistance on either an appointment, walk-in, or online basis. The Writing Center is located on the main floor of the library.
