ENGT 4715 - Wood Design

Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite: ENGT 1020 , 1200  or MATH 1730 
Description: Advanced wood design methods using new NDS standards combining ASD/LRFD specifications.  Design of beams, joist, rafters, columns, decks, and built-up beams.  Design of wood structures, trusses and wood bracing, using timber.  ASCE load standard to analyze maximum moment, shear, deflection, and stress.
