RDG 4053 - Teaching Language Arts and Literature to English Language Learners

Description: This course will present an overview of teaching Language Arts and Literature to ELL students from diverse backgrounds. This course includes language arts organization, materials, teaching methods, and assessment strategies for the elementary grades. Interrelatedness of these skills is stressed through activities that teach children of all cultures to think and communicate. It is designed to provide the research, best practices, and materials included in a balanced literacy classroom.
