NURS 5007 - Advanced Health Assessment and Clinical Reasoning across the Lifespan

Credit Hours 3
Prerequisite: NURS 5005  
Corequisite: NURS 5008  
Description: This course builds upon the nurse’s basic and experiential knowledge of physical assessment. The course focuses on the advanced, comprehensive assessment skills required to provide primary health care to patients across the lifespan. Focus is placed on the development of advanced physical assessment techniques, communication skills, documentation, clinical reasoning, and the differential diagnosis process. Theoretical contexts of health promotion are integrated and applied to clinical findings.
