NURS 5801 - Primary Care Practicum I

Credit Hours 3
Prerequisite: Nurs 5701
Corequisite: Nurs 5702
Description: This course will introduce the student to the family nurse practitioner role. The focus of this course is a beginning clinical immersion with the guidance of the preceptor and faculty in a primary care setting to include individuals and families across the lifespan (infants, children, childbearing females, adults, and geriatrics). The course includes an advanced practice procedures/skills workshop (180 clinical hours).
