SW 6510 - Neuroscience for Social Work (effective Spring 2022) Credit Hours 3 Description: This course provides students with the basic principles of neuroscience as it pertains to the practice of social work, both from developmental and clinical perspectives. Brain structure and function, along with epigenetic factors that have the potential to affect these structures and the development of neural pathways, are explored. Students consider the interactions between neurobiology and individuals’ environmental implications.
