NURS 6650 - Advanced Clinical Decision Making and Concepts for Doctoral Students

Prerequisite: Admission to the EdD program, nurse educator concentration
Description: This course builds upon the synthesis of prior knowledge and skills while focusing on the development of advanced clinical competencies. Students apply critical thinking to evaluate strategies to improve safety, care, and advocacy. Focus is placed upon health promotion, population health, epidemiology, health determinants, health literacy, risk identification, healthcare disparities, social justice, and family-focused nursing care. This course prepares the student to evaluate evidence-based practice for nursing and healthcare.
