NURS 5550 - Theoretical Foundations and Teaching Methods for Nurse Educators

Description: This course prepares the graduate-level nurse in the nurse educator role, focusing on learning theories, teaching strategies, learner characteristics, and the use of technology in education. The course provides guidance on the education of nursing students and practicing healthcare providers in clinical and classroom settings. Topics include adult learning theories, individual learning styles, unique needs of students, barriers to teaching and learning, teaching strategies, implementation of evidence-based teaching, and the use of technology in education.
