ACCT 5100 - Advanced Financial Accounting

Prerequisite: MBA Majors with permission of the instructor
Description: This course provides an in-depth exploration of advanced accounting principles and their application in strategic business contexts. Topics include complex financial reporting issues, consolidated financial statements, partnership accounting, international accounting standards, and accounting for pensions, and leases. Emphasis is placed on interpreting financial data for managerial decision-making, regulatory compliance, and ethical reporting. Students will analyze real-world cases to develop critical thinking and leadership skills in financial strategy and governance.
