ACCT 5130 - Advanced Auditing Credit Hours 3 Prerequisite: MBA Majors with permission of the instructor Description: This course examines advanced auditing and assurance practices. Topics include internal auditing, governmental audits, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, with emphasis on internal control evaluation and regulatory reporting. Students will explore compilation and review engagements, gaining insight into assurance services for non-public entities. Through case analysis and applied projects, students develop the ability to critically assess audit frameworks, synthesize findings, and contribute to ethical and effective governance in complex organizational environments.
