Public Management, B.S.

The Public Management degree is available at the Main Campus and Fort Campbell locations and online. Students have the opportunity to select from a wide range of occupational interests which have a common focus within the public or quasi-public sectors. The student is equipped with courses providing a solid background in general areas of public management.

Concentration or Minor: 21 Credit Hours


Students may a Concentration from Criminal Justice or Management Technology or any Minor from any of those offered by the University. 

Criminal Justice: 21 hours Concentration

Students must complete PM 3150 (American System of Criminal Justice) and choose any six courses from the following list (for a total of 21 hours).
 

PM 3140  Introduction to the Legal Process

PM 3160  Civil Rights and Civil Liberties

PM 3170  Criminal Law

PM 3180  Criminal Procedures

PM 3310  Race and Cultures in Administration and Politics

PM 4320  Administrative Law

PM 4330  Political Aspects of Criminal Behavior

CRJ 3000  Constitutional Law

 

Management Technology, General Management: 21 Hours Concentration

MT 1000  Introduction to Business Environment

MT 2030  Marketing Survey

MT 2050  Principles of Management

MT 2200  Business and Industrial Safety

MT 2250  Introduction to Business Law

MT 2450  Labor Relations

 

Recommended Minors:  18 Hours

Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Nonprofit Administration, Global Security Studies, or Political Science. (Public Management Majors may not take the Public Management Minor.)
