RDG 5820 - Foundations of Reading and Literacy Development

Corequisite: RDG 5830  
Description: This course focuses on the foundations of the reading and writing processes, including instructional methods, varied materials, scientifically-based research and current trends in literacy instruction. The comprehensive, balanced approach to reading instruction merges theory and practice for the diversity of learners in today’s classrooms, including English-Language Learners.
