ENGL 340K - Crossing Borders: Reading Immigrant Literature Credit Hours 3 Prerequisite: ENGL 1010 with a “C” or higher and ENGL 1020 Pre/Corequisite ENGL 2330 Description: Taking a comparative approach rooted in the history of immigration, students will explore classic American immigrant narratives and engage with contemporary texts by immigrant authors from around the world. This course will introduce immigrant literature by considering a range of genres, including short story, novel, poetry, memoir, and film.
